The Power Plant Brewery and Stone Canyon Pizza are reason enough to visit Parkville again. This festival just puts it over the edge for me. Plus, have you seen the forecast?!
as Sara said, its bound to be a good time. This is where I first got introduced to some of the the O'Fallon flavored beers, such as the Smoked Porter. Although I didn't personally like it, there were plenty of other beers there to wash away the smoke, and having a large variety of local brews on hand was great. Its a great way to support your favorite local brewery and share some brews with your friends.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Links that were broken are now fixed. Sorry about that!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great time...great beers and music, what else is there?!
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about the Boulevard Brewery beers from my KC peeps.
Wish I could make it down for the w/e...be sure to post your review of the event.
peace,
m
You should c'mon down for it, tundraboy! I'll try to post a review. Maybe a pic or two. I have a full weekend ahead of me!

ReplyDeleteabsog,
ReplyDeleteI would love to come down, but it's a bit far from Chicagoland. We've had similar events here, but it's been years since I've heard of one and/or attended...but they are a great time...trying good local brews.
I wanted to introduce myself a bit here. I stumbled onto your blog looking for Weiss beer info, and your site popped up in a yahoo search. I'd been to my favorite local German Pub over the w/e and had a few tall Weiss' on tap, but could not locate the brewers at the bars website--hence the web search.

One was Ayinger and I forgot the other now...It was very interesting to try 2 different beers back to back. I'm used to drink the Hacker-Pschorr at home.
If you are in Chicago, you must stop by this bar for a tall Weiss.
peace,
M
Aw damn, too bad I'm not up there this weekend. My mother-in-law lives in Weatherby Lake, so I'm in Parkville quite a bit. My wife graduated from Park Hill. -Lee in Austin
